| Leadership Is the Issue |
What is executive coaching? Coaching
is a highly personalized, confidential partnership between an external
consultant and an executive who is motivated to excel. The executive
coach acts as a guide, motivator and ally - outside the corridors of
power.
Why employ an executive coach? A coach
provides an interactive sounding board and enables a leader to take
strong personal accountability for the strategy and steps necessary
for optimizing their own performance. Individuals often see or feel
a gap between where they are now and where they want to be. Coaching
provides the opportunity for executives to identify clearly what they
are trying to achieve and what may be blocking them. Coaching concentrates
on:
| |
- Clearly focusing on strategic outcomes
|
| |
- Taking personal accountability for delivering results
based on business objectives
|
| |
- Understanding one's leadership style and impact on others
|
| |
- Increasing the ability to influence key decision makers and
stakeholders
|
| |
- Clearly identifying opportunities for enhanced performance
|
| |
- Identifying strategies for optimizing performance
|
| |
- Finding what works and doing more of it
|
| |
- Building on successes using personal resources
